Ambiental's wide range of flood risk assessment, flood modelling products and services are used internationally by insurance companies, property developers/ investors and utilities companies to optimise their risk management strategies in built-up areas.

[ Flood Mapping and Modelling - Flowroute^TM ]

Ambiental’s proprietary flood model, Flowroute^TM, was co-developed in collaboration with flood scientists at Cambridge University. Incorporating over 10 person-years of R&D, the modular software platform can be used to predict river, tidal/coastal and surface water flooding, providing information on the depth, duration and extent of flooding as well as water velocities and flow-paths down to the level of individual exposures.

[ Hurricane Tracker ]

The Hurricane Tracker was developed as a means of visualising hurricane tracks in real time. Using the Google Earth platform the user can monitor the progress of all hurricanes that are likely to affect the Americas. Information is displayed on the predicted and actual hurricane track. Users have access to our archive and can follow the tracks of the hurricanes of the summer 2006 and 2007.

[ Surface Water Flood Modelling - Flowroute^TM ]

Using in house expertise in GIS and programming, Ambiental are able to offer clients development of proprietary risk platforms, models and tools. Building upon the success of our insurance-focused flood risk mapping and loss estimation platform - Flowroute^TM - Ambiental has now developed leading-edge technology for surface water flood risk mapping and modelling.
