Billed as “Europe’s definitive and independent CAT risk event for all modelling companies, brokers, regulators, reinsurance & insurance companies”, the annual CAT Risk Management & Modelling Conference will take place in London on 26th/27th February this year, with Ambiental’s managing director, Dr Justin Butler, as one of the events’ key speakers.

Speaking on Thursday 26th, Justin is set to deliver a talk on “Flood risk: Location definition and impact of data on CAT modelling”. His talk will cover pertinent issues for insurance companies and risk managers, with insight into methodologies that can be applied to poor quality data and high level portfolio analysis to aid business forecasting. Justin will also discuss the application of geocoding on hazard retrieval, and associated uncertainty, plus the application of aggregated data on underwriting. For brokers, regulators, insurers or re-insurers, this is a “must-attend” event.
