Rose Mead Farm

Ambiental were appointed to undertake an NPPF (National Planning Policy Framework) compliant Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) and Surface Water Drainage Strategy for a 123 residential development covering 7.7 hectares in Horam.

The site mainly consisted of undeveloped agricultural land and was a predominantly Greenfield site, taking the development from a ‘Less Vulnerable’ classification under the NPPF to ‘More Vulnerable’. Despite being mostly in Flood Zone 1, given the side of the development (over 1ha) it was still required to have an FRA to adhere to national policy.

The project then went on to be approved and development has already started.
