Flood risk: location uncertainty and the impact of data on CAT modelling

CCAT-modelling-presentation

“Flood risk: location uncertainty and the impact of data on CAT modelling” offers an overview of how flood hazard data for catastrophe models is built and an exploration of uncertainty in catastrophe models. This presentation was delivered by Dr Justin Butler at Cat Risk Management & Modelling Conference, London 26th March 2015. Through using worked examples of CAT model analysis outputs this presentation seeks to determine which is more significant – knowing what it is or where it is? It aims to demonstrate the impacts of adjusting geocoding accuracy and vulnerability parameters within a portfolio of exposure data.
